The GWO Safety & Training Forum 2022 took place on October 4th in Copenhagen.

The GWO Safety & Training Forum brought together GWO's community for a heavyweight programme of inspiration, industry insight, networking and dialogue across a single day. The day comprised of workshops, roundtables as well as plenary sessions, with opportunities to contribute participant experience and understanding about the hot topics in safety and training in the wind industry.

"Clearing a path for our future workforce"

The Forum 2022 kicked off with an introduction by Ralph Savage and Julie Brown to the events of the day, as well as an overview to the GWO Entry Level Framework and changes in the GWO standards suite. Following the introduction, the attendees discussed the Framework’s opportunities and challenges moderated by members of the GWO Secretariat.

"Mapping the Routes to Success"

Andrea Scassola, GWO’s Business Analytics Manager & John Barrie’s presentation’s provided context for the need of the Entry Level Framework. The session culminated in a panel discussion including Lisa Mallon, John Barrie, Jill Lees and Andrea Scassola moderated by Jakob Lau Host followed by a Q&A session.

A programme for everyone

The GWO Safety & Training Forum brings together GWO's community for a heavyweight programme of inspiration, industry insight, networking and dialogue across two days of workshops, roundtables as well as plenary sessions. There'll be plenty of opportunities to contribute your experience and understanding about the hot topics in safety and training in the wind industry. While we await our final programme to be announced, we know for sure that the finale for the Forum will be the  Safety & Training Awards Ceremony on the late afternoon of October 9th.
